title: 2200N parterre (Garden of disaffection)
Place: uffesgade 1-7
Artist: jonas maria schul

The Garden of Disaffection is shaped to create a short odd moment; a clash between cultural spheres, but maybe also a silent, distressed protest against a development where immense gaps between rich and poor is shaped by the political elite.
Since there’s a tendency in some places that useless items, waste and rubbish is thrown along roads and next to housing areas, my interest has been to interfere with these “wild litter gardens” of the present civilization.

The basis of this piece is the junction between two of Denmark's most detached public gardens. A detail from the royal parterre at Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød has been recreated in an empty plot mostly used by dogs and dog owners in a traditional low-income area at Nørrebro.
The monogram has been copied and done in ready-lawn; a temporary parterre formed around and conditioned by the neighbouring weeds.
